Hi. I’m Aniruddha

Data Scientist. Writer. Serial Hobbyist.

About

I’m a Data Scientist currently pursuing my Masters in Computer Science at New York University.

The focus of my graduate studies at NYU is Applied Machine Learning, which will complement my over two years of real-world experience. I’m currently on the lookout for 2024 Summer Internships in Machine Learning, AI, and Data Science.

Previously, I worked at Tekion Corp for over two years on projects in the domains of Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and Recommendation Systems.

Outside of work, you’ll find me devouring an epic fantasy novel, writing about data science on my blog, or working on my digital art and photography skills.

Experience

I’m currently working at Tekion, a startup based in California that’s revolutionizing the automotive industry.

To check out where I’ve worked in the past, please head to the Experiences page.

My Work

I do cool things with data.

In the past, I’ve worked on projects like Forecasting Earthquakes, detecting anomalies in X-rays, and visualizing various datasets. You can head to the projects section to have a look at what I’ve been working on.

Writing

I write sporadically on programming in Python and Data Science.

I started writing in early 2019 just to see how it went, and haven’t looked back since. Currently, I write on Medium, and you can check out my blog below. With over 150,000 views of my writing, these are the articles I’m most proud of.

Understanding Dynamic Programming
How Neural Networks solve the XOR Problem
Understanding Maximum Likelihood Estimation

Art and Photography

I enjoy working on my photography and painting skills on the side. I paint on an iPad Pro using a delightful app called Sketchbook, and for photography, I use my top-of-the-line professional… mid-range smartphone camera.

You can check out the Instagram account I use solely for this, below.

Reading

The first novel I ever read was a book from the Famous Five series at the age of eight. I remember wondering how I’d ever get through those 200 pages.

Fifteen years and almost a thousand books later, I’m adding a collection of my favourites, spanning high fantasy, mystery, non-fiction and of course, machine learning.

It’ll be up soon.
